Operator Terms & Conditions

Version 2026-10-27 · Last updated 27 Oct 2026

In short
  • Nomadway is only a booking platform. We bring customers, take payments and pay you. We do not run, supervise or insure any activity.
  • You run the activity and are fully responsible for it: safety, equipment, staff, licences, insurance, the meeting point and the service on the day.
  • You are paid for completed bookings and late-cancellation charges, minus the commission agreed with you (if any).
  • Customer details are only for running their booking. See our Privacy Policy.

Please read these terms and the Privacy Policy fully. You accept both when you send the Partner with us form, when you set up your operator account, and again whenever we publish a new version. We keep the date, time and version you accepted.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between Nomadway ("we", "us") and the business that lists an adventure on Nomadway ("operator", "you"). Nomadway is an online platform where travellers discover, book and pay for adventure activities run by independent operators. You run the activity; we bring customers, take payments and pay you.

2. Joining Nomadway

  • You must be a genuine business with every licence, permit and registration that the law and local authorities require for your activity.
  • During onboarding we will ask for PAN, GST registration (if you are registered), bank account or UPI details, licences, safety certifications, insurance and photos. Everything you share must be true and current.
  • We may verify your details and may decline or delay a listing at our discretion.
  • One operator account can list several adventures. We check each new adventure before it goes live. Your login is personal to your business; keep the password safe.

3. Your listing, prices and slots

  • The activity type and listing title are set by Nomadway with you during onboarding. You can update prices, time slots, seats, operating days, photos, inclusions and other details from your dashboard at any time.
  • Changes apply to new bookings only. Customers who have already booked keep the price, time slot and group size they booked with, and you must honour them.
  • You cannot remove a time slot that has upcoming bookings. Every change you make is recorded in your listing's change history.
  • Your content and photos must be accurate and you must own the rights to them. You allow Nomadway to show, edit for clarity and promote them on our website, apps and marketing.
  • Do not charge customers more than the listed price for anything that is included.

4. Bookings and check-in

  • Customers book and pay online through Nomadway. You get an email for every new booking and can see all bookings in your dashboard.
  • You must provide the activity as described to every confirmed booking.
  • At the start of the activity, check the customer in by scanning their QR code or entering their Start OTP. At the end, enter their Complete OTP. A booking is paid out only once it is completed this way.
  • Do not ask Nomadway customers to cancel and book with you directly, or take payments for Nomadway bookings outside the platform.

5. Safety

  • You are fully responsible for running the activity safely: trained and certified staff, a safety briefing, well-maintained equipment, and valid insurance where required.
  • Follow all laws, government advisories and weather warnings. Stop or postpone an activity whenever it is not safe.
  • You may refuse a customer who does not meet the age, weight, health or other safety limits shown on your listing. Tell us straight away so we can help the customer.
  • Report any accident or serious incident to Nomadway within 24 hours.

6. When a customer cancels

Customers can cancel from their Nomadway account. Their refund of the activity price depends on how early they cancel:

Customer cancelsCustomer gets backYou receive
24 hours or more before the slot100% of the activity priceNothing
6–24 hours before the slot50% of the activity priceThe other 50% as a cancellation charge
Less than 6 hours before, or after the slot startsNothing100% of the activity price as a cancellation charge

The cancellation charge is added to your next payout after the booking date. The booking fee and its GST paid by the customer are never refunded on a customer cancellation and belong to Nomadway.

7. When you cancel

  • Cancel a confirmed booking only for genuine reasons such as weather, safety or an emergency, and tell the customer and Nomadway as early as possible.
  • When you cancel, the customer gets a full refund of everything they paid, including the booking fee, and there is no payout to you for that booking.
  • Frequent or last-minute cancellations may lower your listing's visibility and may lead to suspension.

8. No-shows

If a customer does not arrive, mark the booking as a no-show in your dashboard with a short note. Nomadway contacts the customer, reviews each no-show and decides whether it is paid out to you. The customer is not refunded for a no-show unless Nomadway finds the activity could not be provided.

9. Payments and payouts

  • Nomadway collects the full payment from the customer on your behalf at the time of booking.
  • You receive the activity price of each completed booking, plus any late-cancellation charges, minus Nomadway's commission. Your commission rate is agreed with you, shown in your portal under Settlements, includes GST, and applies to everything you earn through Nomadway, including cancellation charges. If no commission is set, you receive the full amount. We give at least 30 days' notice before changing your rate; a change applies only to bookings made after it.
  • If a booking fee is charged to the customer, it belongs to Nomadway and is not part of your payout.
  • Payouts are sent by bank transfer or UPI to the account in your profile, at regular intervals. Each payout comes with a payout statement listing every booking and the transfer reference (UTR).
  • Keep your bank and UPI details correct. Nomadway is not responsible for transfers made to details you provided. Tell us about any mismatch within 7 days of a payout.
  • We may hold the payout for a booking that is under a dispute or complaint until it is resolved, and may adjust a payout for a refund we had to give because the activity was not provided as booked.

10. Taxes

You are responsible for the taxes on your activity price and cancellation charges, including GST if you are registered, and for your own income tax. Give us your GSTIN if you have one so it appears on customer documents. Nomadway pays GST on its own commission and booking fee. Where the law requires an online marketplace to collect tax at source (GST TCS) or deduct tax (income-tax TDS) on your sales, Nomadway will do so, show it on your payout statement, and file it against your PAN/GSTIN so you can claim the credit.

11. Customer data

Use customer names, phone numbers and other details only to deliver the booked activity. Do not use them for marketing, share them, or keep them longer than needed. Keep them secure and confidential. Tell Nomadway straight away if customer data is lost or misused. Our Privacy Policy explains how Nomadway handles your data and your customers' data.

12. Reviews

Customers can review your adventure after a completed booking. You may not write, buy or pressure anyone for reviews. You can raise a review that you believe is false with Nomadway.

13. Suspension and ending the partnership

  • You can stop selling at any time by telling us. Bookings already confirmed must still be provided or cancelled under section 7.
  • Nomadway may pause or remove your listing, or end this agreement, for safety concerns, fraud, false information, repeated cancellations or complaints, or a breach of these terms.
  • Money owed to you for completed bookings will still be paid, less any refunds we had to give because of you.

14. Responsibility

Nomadway is a technology platform and acts only as an intermediary between you and the customer. You are solely responsible for the activity, your staff, equipment, permits, insurance and the safety of participants. Nomadway is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay or dispute arising from the activity or from your service, and you agree to cover Nomadway for any claim, loss, penalty or legal cost that arises from your activity, your staff or a breach of these terms. Nomadway is responsible only for running the booking platform and handling payments as described here.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will tell you by email and in your portal, and ask you to accept the new version before you can make further changes. The version and date are shown at the top of this page.
